I always find that whenever Julia Stiles is photographed she looks awkward and uncomfortable. She strikes me as one of those women that half way through would kick of her heels and carry them rather wear them.
Straps: In my many years of shoe observation & play it seems some women like the open sexy arch cleavage/toe cleavage pump, but don't want to wear sizes too small so as to keep the shoes on their feet. This gal shows what I mean. W/o the straps her oversize shoes would fall on the floor each time she crosses her legs or walks up stairs.
To be technical about it these are not ankle-straps but instep-straps. My misgiving is with the shape of the toe of them. That is countered by the shape of the instep which gives a good look at the toes so I'm not totally disgusted. Thanks for your efforts Chief.
